he stood idly with a nod as he watched the floor while checking his watch for the time just to seem as though he wasn’t just doing nothing. as she spoke up, his head shot up to focus back. pretending to check his own schedule he nodded, ❛ we can do it today ? if that works for you. or friday if you um … wanna get home. i don’t want to waste your time or anything. ❜ he practically rambled. yet he always peaked an interest in finding what others thought of his alter-ego. it either gave him criticism he tried to fix, or a confidence booster that he was doing something right for a change. a smile followed, ❛ yeah, he is uh looking out for the little guy. friendly neighborhood hero i guess. i agree, he’s doing a lot of good. ❜
